As Senior Vice President at CORE, Doug Bowen is the Director of the firm’s Brooklyn division. He joined CORE in 2006 after 3 award-winning years with Manhattan's largest real estate brokerage and prides himself on his ability to do transactions on both sides of the river. To date, Doug has been responsible for over $200 million dollars in residential sales. Doug provides the kind of thorough, no-nonsense approach one would expect from such a multitalented individual. His intense work ethic, problem solving acumen and negotiating expertise coupled with his fundamental understanding of the industry comes from years of collaboration, which he believes to be the key to every successful real estate transaction.
A townhouse expert, Doug owns, has renovated and manages five residential and mixed-use townhouse properties in Brooklyn. He has sold dozens of townhouses with configurations that run the gamut from single family to multi-family, mixed-use, SRO to rent regulated properties. Recently, he was featured on the hit HGTV show Selling New York, his second appearance on the show; both episodes focused on his work in the Brooklyn townhouse sector. Doug and his team's steady stream of resale business have included transactions in co-ops and condominiums in all the premier residential Brooklyn neighborhoods as well as in downtown Manhattan. Doug has also just completed selling eighty-six apartments at 125 North 10th Street in Williamsburg. Under his leadership, 125 North 10th Street achieved the highest sales prices in the area post -Lehman and is the premier address on the prime Northside today.
Prior to his career in real estate, Doug worked as a master carpenter turned movie-set builder. He has worked on approximately 50 feature films, including as the construction foreman for the renowned classic, Titanic. Doug's diverse skill set and unique background provide him with keen all-around real estate insight as a service to both sellers and buyers alike. For developers, the synergy of his real estate and construction experience make him a value-added team member, able to help craft each project from its inception into a unique stand-out entity. The word most often used by Doug's clients is passion.
